Good credit car loans
Dealers love to see people like you on their lot
If you know your credit score is good (700 or higher) let us be honest with you right now. You might find a better deal during a dealer promotion.
Don't get us wrong. We'd love to have your business and we encourage you to apply today. We are, after all, part of an electronic network that can get hundreds of lenders to compete for your loan.
So why would we suggest going to a dealer? Because if you time it right, you might qualify for one of those dealer promotions of zero percent financing -- and let's face it, no bank in the world can compete with free.
Now truth be told, despite all the ads you see for zero percent financing, very few people actually sign up for it. First, it takes good credit to qualify. Secondly, zero percent financing is almost always offered as a choice -- a cash rebate or the low rate-- and most people take the cash. Third, most zero percent deals are for fewer years, which will make the monthly payment higher.
And here's another thing. A lot of people believe if they are getting such a good loan rate, they don't have any room to negotiate on the price of the car. That may be what many salesmen say, but truthfully, there's no connection. If you're a good haggler and if you're willing to walk away, you can indeed get a good price on a car and still get a zero percent loan.
Bottom line: Congratulations. A good credit score gives you lots of options. Apply today if you're in a hurry, or check your Sunday newspaper ads if you're wondering what dealers might be offering.
